Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University
Chair "Printing machines"
The Chair was established in 2005 in the structure of Mechanical Machine-Building Faculty of Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University.
The training is conducted in major "Printing machines and automated complexes" on budget and contractual bases, full-time and external training.
Term of full-time training – 5 years. Term of external training – according to individual contract.
Upon graduation from the University, the graduates are awarded qualification "specialist" (mechanical engineer of printing equipment), and they are issued state diplomas of higher education.
During the first years, the students receive basic general theoretic technical and humanitarian training in the scope, stipulated by the Ministry of Education for technicians with higher education.
Training in the senior years is conducted under professional program, as well as under target programs of training subject to requests of branch enterprises, thus providing the possibility of practical employment for future graduates of the Chair even prior to graduation from the University.
The Chair has its own laboratory base with printing machines of relief, offset, screen and digital printing. There is a complex of finishing equipment, a design-studio, a photographic laboratory, a sector of computer prototyping, a laboratory of manual sheet formation and a sector of machine preparation of paper.
Scientific-academic staff of the Chair is composed of professors and senior lecturers, which have been qualified in the field of polygraphy and concomitant disciplines, and also possess long-term teaching experience.
